Shameless Plugs: YouTube: Minecraft Related

It has been quite a long time since I posted a “shameless plug” here, and honestly I do feel like the people I’m plugging deserve it.

paulsoaresjr was actually the one that made me start wanting to play Minecraft in the first place. So thanks for that, Paul! :P

There are many more people that I’ve viewed the videos of, but haven’t explored very much.

Observatory Keep

Remember the blueprints I posted a while ago, the ones I put on the observatory keep blueprints page of the Minecraft Constructions Wiki? Yeah, I finally remembered I hadn’t uploaded the pictures of the one I made yet. So why not get to that now before I forget again?

Quartz Mid-Sized Castle

I based this one off of ~falcon01‘s blueprint for a mid-sized castle, probably messed up the blueprints somewhere, but don’t care much at the moment. I need you guys to take a look at this picture and help me figure out how to make it look less white. You know how a lot of houses have trims that are oak wood or something? I’m trying to figure out what would look good on this castle. (After that is sorted out, I will post pictures of the inside and whatnot.) What do you think?

If you’re wondering about the flags, it’s a V shape for my Minecraft username, Vistasin.

Obsidian Castle

If you look at the blueprint here, you’ll notice that there’s not much in the way of “put windows here” or “put a bed there.” It’s basically just an outline. I’ve just built it up as an obsidian castle, so it looks pretty plain on the outside. Sorry about that. :P Eventually I might go back and make it look more spiffy. (Yes, spiffy. I say that.) Jammy’s Furniture Mod was used for the furniture.

There was way too much open space in the middle of the floor… so I used these little heads from the furniture mod. They make noise when you right click them. :D I view them as trophies of some sort. Maybe.

I found this on the Minecraft Constructions Wiki here, but you can find the blueprints here.

Small Cabin & 1.5.2 Update

Hello everyone! Minecraft is now at version 1.5.2, and until I find out how to convert my old save files so that they’ll work with the new version of Minecraft and the updated mods I use (Jammy Furniture Mod, Rei’s Minimap, Biomes O’ Plenty, and Mo’ Creatures Mod) I won’t be able to build any more onto Falconville without reconstructing it entirely, as well as the Archespore seed world. But I do have some screenshots I haven’t uploaded from Archespore yet, so at least for another few days I can post some for you. And if you’re wondering when I’m going to stop building other people’s things and build my own… I will once I find what I want to build. :P

Small Cabin blueprint from here.

Blueprint: Click me!
World Seed: Archespore
Mods Used: Jammy Furniture Mod (for the red hanging light)

This name was on the blueprint image, so… why not?

Inside (First Floor)
I didn’t light the fireplace because… well… the first time I did, it sort of set the house up in flames. Eventually I’ll figure out how to properly make a fireplace. The second floor hall looks the same.

A Room (First Floor)
The only difference is the first floor rooms have a double door at the back to get out on the veranda/porch thing.

Fireplace (First Floor)
And the staircase to the right of it. I added a redstone lamp in the fireplace so that it would give off a little light, at least.

Storage Room
The ladder leads to the attic and the “watch tower” like piece on the top.

Small Dirt House

I’ve been going through the Minecraft Constructions Wiki and building things from there, and I’m also starting to upload my screenshots there. Don’t know if I’ll add all of them or not, but I have added the one for the fountain and this dirt house.

Seed: Archespore
Blueprint: Small Dirt House

There are only two pictures, the inside and outside, since there are no windows.

Sorry this is much shorter than my usual posts. :P But let me know if you think I should upload the images of the other things I’ve built following the directions from the Minecraft Wiki on the Wiki itself.

Aesthetic House, Flowerbeds, & More

I’m sure those of you who actually had Minecraft back when it was in Beta and when it was in its earlier versions have heard of the Builders Mod. I know about it because, well, I watched a lot of Minecraft videos on YouTube before I got it and a lot of those videos were from Beta. Now, I couldn’t actually get the builders mod to work on my game, probably because it’s outdated and I have 1.5.1. But I was able to dig through the zip file and find the building instructions. I had to improvise on the Battle Platform, but I had no idea what code “-2″ meant (“1″ is stone, “64″ is a door, stuff like that). But you’ll see it in the screenshots below, so why am I still talking?

On a side note, this is not Falconville. I created a new world and used the seed “Archespore” which I found on the Minecraft Wiki here. I also have the Jammy Furniture Mod installed, which is why I have more… natural looking furniture.

Aesthetic House

Fountain
This actually has nothing to do with the builder mod, but it’s small so I figured I’d slip it in here real quick. You can learn how to make one here.

Observatory Keep Blueprints

So, I found an Observatory Keep on the Minecraft Constructions Wiki, and I like how it’s designed. But the wording is a little strange, and I at least find it easier to work with an image… and because I had nothing better to do tonight, I made some blueprints for it.

Blueprints

I used ~falcon01‘s grid and blocks. Hopefully this will help someone. :)
