About Me #8

What is your strangest possession?

Probably that severed snake head. My aunt got it at an Indian Festival one year and it ended up being mine.

What is your most expensive possession?

Probably my car. And it’s not even work three grand.

What is your most prized possession?

Dunno. I’d say “my friends” but I think the question means a material possession, and my friends aren’t really possessions. They’re friends. Hm. I guess the drawings my dad did. He was amazing.

Material possessions are…

a necessary evil. In today’s world, you can’t survive without material possessions. And I feel sorry for you if you can’t drive a car or don’t own one.

If your house was burning and you only had time to rescue three things, what would they be?

I don’t know. I have more than three cats. There are more than three things my dad left me that I’d want to get out. If my house was burning, I’d probably curse every god, spirit, and demon I could think of just because I would lose what little I have that serves as a physical reminder of my dad. I’d lose over $5,000 worth in books. Pictures that can’t be replaced. I’d be happy if my bed didn’t survive it, though, that thing is so ancient I can’t sleep on it without it hurting my back. I mean, I finally talked my grandmother into getting a fire extinguisher, but I’m the only one who has any idea how to use it AND I have no idea where it is. My grandmother puts things away in places that are hard to reach, hard to remember, and it’s just pointless having the thing because it’s still in the box and it’s probably stuffed in a corner with a million other things on top of it. The short of it is, if my house caught on fire, nothing would survive. Except maybe the people inside. They might survive. I’ve got to go find that stupid fire extinguisher…
